Simon Fagnani

Early Intervention Specialist & Key Worker

Simon has worked with children for over 8 years. He has completed studies in the field of Education (Early Years & Primary), Therapeutic Child Play Therapy and is currently Counselling.

Simon is an avid advocate for inclusion and diversity, providing specialised consultancy to childcares, kindergartens, mainstream and special education settings. Simon supports families, and stakeholders to develop and implement evidenced-based, child-centred practices to build the capacity of the village to become aware of and responsive to, the needs of all children.

Simon has had experience working within early interventions, both with the Brotherhood of St Laurence (NDIS) and as a Key Worker (as part of a team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals).

Simon has a passion for childhood and family mental health and enjoys working in nature, supporting children to develop resilience, independence, confidence and awareness.  

Simon is also a qualified Yoga teacher. He enjoys incorporating yoga (mindfulness) in a fun and engaging way for children.

Cynthia Fagnani

Key Worker

Cynthia Fagnani has worked with children and families for over 10years and currently holds a Diploma in Youth Work, a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Social Science specialising in Counselling, Postgraduate in Education Early Childhood Teaching and is currently enrolled and working towards her Masters of Autism Studies.

Cynthia has worked primarily with children and families, adopting a family-centred and therapeutic approach. She has experience working as part of a transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary team of Counsellors, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists,  Occupational Therapists, and Early Childhood Teachers.

Cynthia’s holistic approach toward supporting families and children demonstrates a caring, gentle, and informed approach to current research and practice. Her listening skills and guidance through her support and education are a strong and effective advocate that your child needs and deserves. A personalised approach to planning and practice and delivering the best-modelled methods to assist your child’s needs and development.  

Cynthia takes pride in her ability to work closely with a team of professionals internal and external, to create meaningful and interest-based strategies that support families and children that can be applied practically.

Cynthia advocates encouraging nature play-based environments for children to discover to be little learners and explore their natural surroundings and environments.

Helen Gatsios

Key Worker

Helen has been working with children since 2012. She holds a Masters in Teaching, and over her working experience has developed a strong skillset and expertise in supporting families and children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

As a dedicated mother, she understands the importance of developing caring and responsive relationships with children and their community. She is passionate about supporting the wellbeing of the whole child and takes an inclusive approach to ensuring that the voice of the child is not only heard but given great attention.

Helen has had the opportunity to work across a variety of learning environments, primarily within the northern suburbs.  Her skills as an educator allow her to develop, assess and implement many strategies to enhance the children’s overall well-being, socially, cognitively and physically.

Early interventions are critical to supporting children with additional needs.
